An exciting opportunity exists for a Cygnett NZ Field Account Executive working within the Consumer Division of Dicker Data.

As a Cygnett NZ Field Account Executive, you will immerse yourself in an interactive role while showcasing your passion for Consumer Electronics with New Zealand retailers. You play a pivotal role in helping Cygnett increase its brand presence and presentation levels in its retail stores.

You are enthusiastic and confident, with a genuine passion for people who will own their store relationships. Success in this role will rely on your ability to leverage in-store relationships while you deliver product capability training, merchandising activity, and reporting.

This role could suit someone with 1-2 years of experience as a Salesperson in Consumer Electronics retailing looking to make the next step in their career.

General Responsibilities

  • Regular store visits within sales territory with defined call plan and outcomes.
  • Ensure all customer service expectations are exceeded when providing first-line sales support
    to all customers including SOH, ETA, Pricing, and other related queries.
  • Successfully train store reps to ensure that key vendor requirements are covered.
  • Complete regular joint store visits with Vendor Reps and maintains Vendor planograms in-store.
  • Submit regular reports on merchandising and compliance activities for planning and review
  • Ensure you attend Vendor training sessions as required and are updated on new products to
    discuss these in stores.
  • In-store presence audited to ensure Consumer products are situated front and centre in store
    and using vendor-supplied stands where applicable.
  • Promote and manage sales campaigns in all retail partners.
  • Product lifecycle management - ensure excess or obsolete stock, write-offs, obsolescence
    claims, or rotations are kept to a minimum.

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of retail or merchandising experience
  • Data analysis skills, ability to interpret and draw conclusions from information
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Proactive orientation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to provide sales advice for a range of products and services
  • Ability to manage and resolve customer issues and complaints
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously
