An exciting opportunity exists for a Consumer Account Manager working within the Consumer Division of Dicker Data. The Consumer Account Manager promotes Exeed's product categories and manages all facets of the business end to end both internally and with all customer stakeholders.

What you will do in this role:

  • Develop the sales strategy for our existing customer set and recruit new partners as opportunities arise in line with Exeed budget
  • Drive demand for Exeed products and services through face-to-face customer engagements, customer events, conferences, training, and other activity including marketing, merchandising, and incentives that result in sales growth for the product range
  • Achieve all sales targets quarterly and annually, review monthly performance metrics for each customer including sales and share of business
  • Manage marketing opportunities end to end to continually drive sell-through, ensure excess or obsolete stock is kept low to ensure that write-offs, obsolescence claims, or rotations are kept to a minimum
  • Proactive communication of promotions, new product information, merchandising/ instore directives, and Exeed services to both the Merchandise team and customers
  • Attend weekly Sales meetings & ad hoc joint visits with Vendor representatives as required building account plans to drive sales growth in alignment with expectations
  • Perform regular store visits within sales territory with Merchandise Reps ensuring adherence to a defined call plan and outcomes
  • Assist to ensure all administration in relation to your accounts is being accurately managed in a timely manner, including return requests, pricing/invoice queries SOH, ETA, CRM updates, and other related queries
  • Attend product and sales training as required and any Vendor certifications

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years successful business development within the CE consumer industry
  • Well organised with a high level of business acumen and attention to detail
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to others to communicate core issues/challenges, gain understanding and develop solutions
  • Strong data analysis skills, ability to interpret and draw conclusions from information
  • Ability to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customer needs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Effective team player with the ability to gain buy-in and commitment from the sales and marketing team
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of a wide range of products and technologies
  • Ability to work in a dynamic sales environment
  • Innovative, creative and can quickly identify new trends
